Overview[edit]
The Old Whirly is a light machine gun inspired by the legendary MG42. It’s defined by an extreme fire rate, shredding enemies with a constant storm of bullets. While its per-shot damage is modest, its sheer output makes it one of the most feared mid-to-late game crowd control weapons in DEAD.
Beast Upgrades[edit]
- Spintastic – Faster fire rate and bigger magazine.
- Whirl of War – Adds even more sustain, with reduced reload downtime.
- Meat Grinder 3000 – Final form; absurd rate of fire that melts enemies into paste.
Tips[edit]
- Best used for horde clearing — accuracy isn’t the point.
- Short reload cycle makes it easier to keep pressure compared to other LMGs.
- Pair with an accurate weapon for bosses or elites.
Trivia[edit]
- Originally given the MG42’s real nickname, “Hitler’s Buzzsaw,” but changed to fit DEAD’s humour... for obvious reasons.
