Overview[edit]

The Boris the Beltfed is a powerful light machine gun built for sustained fire. Its slower reload and heavier handling make it clunky, but its steady damage output and 100-round belt ensure it can hold a line for longer than most LMGs. A reliable pick for players who like laying down non-stop suppression.

Beast Upgrades[edit]

  • Boris Jr. – Boosted DPS and bigger belt; recoil rises slightly.
  • Boris the Bear – Noticeably higher fire rate and sustain; perfect for mowing down hordes.
  • Tsar Boris III – Final form; massive belts, extreme sustain DPS, and one of the most oppressive guns in DEAD.

Tips[edit]

  • Great for holding chokepoints.
  • Suffers from slow reloads — pre-emptively reload between waves.
  • Fully upgraded, it rivals the MG42 for sheer volume of fire, but with slightly steadier handling.

Trivia[edit]

  • The “Boris” naming joke was so popular in testing that it became an official naming theme for its entire Beast chain.
  • Known internally as the “PKM” during dev; testers kept yelling “Boris is hungry!” when spraying, and the nickname stuck.
  • One of the most ammo-hungry weapons in the game, though its huge belts delay that problem.
